Tom’s passion for preserving the history and heritage of fly fishing is reflected in his use of vintage bamboo rods and reels, hand-tied leaders, and traditional fly patterns dating back over 150 years. In addition to fishing, Tom is an avid upland bird hunter. Each autumn, his 3-weight fly rod is replaced with a 20-gauge shotgun as he roams New England’s uplands with his two English Setters, pursuing grouse and woodcock. His dogs, fully trained and from champion bloodlines, are integral to the guided hunts he offers.
Tom also provides fly-tying instruction for all skill levels, sharing his passion for this enjoyable and endlessly rewarding craft.
